Easy conversation starter I know, but imagine you're the controller of BBC2 and you're going to offer up a Doctor Who story from each Doctor in a mega-repeat run for the anniversary. How do you balance your favourites with the most accessible stories to make the best possible demonstration that there was life in the old dog before 2005?

My personal list would be:
An Unearthly Child (Pilot), 100,000 BC, Tomb of the Cybermen, Day of the Daleks, Genesis of the Daleks, Caves of Androzani, The Twin Dilemma, Silver Nemesis, The Enemy Within

Solid choices all - I can imagine there'd be dissent about Twin Dilemma but it's not as crazy an idea as it sounds, a really *different* regeneration and quite interesting to watch I'd imagine. I'd probably go... The Aztecs Tomb (Or possibly Seeds of Death) With you on Day of the Daleks Brain of Morbius Frontios Mark of the Rani The Greatest Show In The Galaxy Doctor Who: Starring Paul McGann ( )

I have to say I haven't actually seen hardly any Hartnell, and there's still quite a lot of gaps in my Troughton, Tom and Colin viewing, but here's my list regardless.
1st - Unearthly Child 2nd - War Games (That's if they would air such a mammoth story) 3rd - Day of the Daleks (the remastered version, or Spearhead from Space in HD) 4th - City of Death 5th - Caves of Androzani (or Earthshock maybe, just so there's a Cyber story during the run) 6th - No idea I'm afraid. 7th - Curse of Fenric (or Survival, as it might be nice to air the very last show)

I was so tempted to suggest War Games - maybe strip it over five nights, double-billed so two per night? (I'd say edit the episodes together but the first cliffhanger in particular is a corker). You'll have to let me know what you fancy for a batch of borrowage.
