Well I *really* enjoyed that. Metebelis mispronunciation didn't even matter. What say you?

Yup, thoroughly enjoyed it. I would welcome with open arms more stories by Neil Cross, with the caveat they are ones he wants to write (like this) and not a last-minute make-up-the-numbers script like Rings of Azkaban or whatever it was called.
Proper tense and creepy, nicely sci-fi, good references (even if Smith can't pronounce words). My only real criticsm is that anything that's not 'hard science' within the show's internal logic doesn't exist. That's a really bad way of putting it, actually. What I mean is, there's no such thing as ghosts. Gas aliens, Cybermen and Daleks coming through a rift, time travellers, nothing is supernatural. So with that in mind, what is this quasi-mystical empath gubbins about? It's like a reversal of Star Wars, when we found out a science-based solution for the mystic force. The attempt to justify the connection of familial love and stuff didn't answer anything.
Also, [sexist] I might even have to start watching Call the Midwife too because what's her chops was luverly [/sexist].

She's playing Verity Lambert in the anniversary docudrama too!

Unless there's a bit of Who history in which VL gets her busters out, I'm not any more bothered than I already would be...
